Cullwise is in development and being tested on real event shoots. These are the terms it will be sold on when it opens up.
Licence terms

Your licence after you have bought

Finding your key It is in your order email, which arrives within a minute of checkout. Search your mail for Cullwise before anything else — it is the fastest fix. If it is genuinely gone, write to us from the address you bought with and we will send it again.

Using it Open Cullwise, choose Licence from the Cullwise menu, paste the key, click Activate. That is the whole process, and it happens once per Mac.

Your second Mac Paste the same key into it. A licence covers two machines used by one person, and re-entering your key on a Mac that already has it does not spend the second one.

Replacing a Mac Before you sell the old one, open Cullwise on it and choose Deactivate This Mac in the Licence window — that hands the slot back immediately, ready for the new machine. Forgot, or the Mac has gone? Write to us and we will free it.

Working offline Cullwise checks in about once a week, and keeps working for a month without ever reaching us. Planes, hotel wi-fi and venues with no signal are the ordinary case, not the exception — and a check that has not happened yet can never interrupt a cull that has.
Anything else about your licence: the support address opens when Cullwise ships.
Why it is sold this way
Culling software is a tool, not a service. It runs on your machine, on your photographs, and it does not need us for anything once you have it. Charging rent for that would be charging rent for nothing.
So: one payment, and it is yours. If we release something next year worth paying for, you can decide then. If we do not, you have lost nothing and the software you bought carries on working.
What that rules out, permanently: no subscription, no remote kill switch, no licence check that can fail at the end of a wedding, and no feature you already paid for reappearing behind a higher tier.
